What happens during your hearing test?
Your appointment begins with a conversation about your hearing, medical history and any situations where you may be having difficulty.
Your audiologist will then examine your ears and complete a series of diagnostic hearing tests. Depending on your individual needs, this may include testing your hearing across different frequencies, speech understanding and middle ear function.
Once testing is complete, we’ll talk you through your results, answer your questions and explain any recommended next steps.
Allow approximately 60 minutes for a comprehensive adult hearing assessment.

Following your assessment, we provide personalised recommendations based on your hearing profile, communication needs and lifestyle. This may include ongoing monitoring, hearing devices, communication strategies, or referral to another healthcare professional.

With more than 25 years of experience in audiology, Anthony has worked across a broad range of clinical settings, including adult and paediatric audiology, remote community hearing care and senior roles within the hearing industry.

Hearing test fees, Medicare & funded services
A referral is not required to book a hearing test with us.
Comprehensive hearing assessment (60 minutes): $189
Medicare: Medicare rebates may be available when you have a valid referral from your GP or medical specialist. Referrals are generally provided when further investigation of hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness or other hearing-related concerns is clinically appropriate.
Depending on your individual circumstances and referral, eligible patients may be able to claim a Medicare rebate towards comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments and other clinically necessary audiology services, such as earwax removal.
Eligible clients may also be able to access funded hearing services through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program. We are an accredited Hearing Services Program provider and can help you understand whether you may be eligible.

Why regular hearing checks matters
